“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your wrongdoings have caused a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.” Isaiah 59:1–2 (NASB)
This is a call to repentance. T’shuvah is the Hebrew word for “repent,” which means to return, to come back to an original spot.
At the start of this new year, God is calling His Church, citywide, to repentance—to return to His original design for us. We are His royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), a kingdom and priests meant to reign upon the earth (Rev. 5:10).
What does that mean? Bringing Heaven down: the sick recover, those oppressed by the devil are set free, the poor and the widow are taken care of, and the lonely are brought into families.
God can do all of this. His righteous right hand is mighty! God’s not the problem; our sin is the problem. It is hindering us from fully operating in who God has created us to be.
It’s time to repent…to return.
So, as a city, let us fast and pray and “clean house.” The blood of Jesus is calling and drawing us near (Eph. 2:13).
Together, we will walk through Hebrews 12:1–2, throwing off all things that hinder us and the sin that so easily entangles us. No looking back, but running with our eyes fixed on Jesus.
Join us as we set the tone in our city for 2027.
